HI I really liked your game and I was wondering if I could continue the idea or use the idea using RPG maker cause I think its worth continuing. (I don't want to steal or plagiarize any of your assets, work, or ideas without your permission) Also I could replace the characters and keep the story or any combination Idon't mind starting from zero. Lol thats fine if you want to make a game with the same idea in mind. I don’t plan on continuing this game for a long time for many reasons. This project was mostly to get my feet wet with RPGMAKER.
Sorry this game was just a prototype for a bara game jam. If I do decide to revisit it, it will be a while as there is a lot of things I will have to redo.
I liked the writing overall. It was good how you largely explain the world through inference or events, like the spawn point thing. There's a good explanation for Bludge to be worried, for how spawn points work, and for why Bludge can't rescue Astra immediately.
While the game definitely runs on horny logic, I still like how there's a sensible reason for the demon setting things up the way he did. Does enough to kick-start the entire process, then doesn't waste further direct time with it. It feels sensible within the logic of the world, which I really appreciate in writing.
Overall, I think you have the core of something pretty good here, and I definitely would like more if you'd like to move forward with it.
Edit: I'm not entirely sure RPGMaker is the right tool for this though, especially if you're having a lot of trouble wrestling with it. So far at least, the RPGMaker format doesn't seem to be contributing much to the overall experience.
Thank you. I’m glad you were able to understand the story and context of it. Honestly, I was more worried about the writing cause I didn’t have a lot of gameplay to distract from it.
And you are absolutely correct. I could have made this in Renpy as well but I really wanted to give RPGMaker a try, at least once. If I continue working on this project in the future, I’ll experiment on RPGMaker a bit more and then practice in Renpy and see which of the two I will continue with.
The other reason why I wanted to use RPGMaker was because I believed it would be the best way (and possibly the easiest way) to show the city getting built around him and making newer escape routes.
But I completely understand. I’ll do more research on RPGMaker and find a more interesting gameplay loop outside of the cutscenes. If not I’ll have to find another game engine to continue this on.
Your game pretty cool you don't gotta apologize so far you're doing great hope you keep up the good work. Tbh though didnt know that it was so many pluggins and stuff you gotta get though
Thanks. I only apologized cause I know some people may not like where the game was going in the end. Also, there was about 11 plugins I had installed and used.
But if I continue to work on the game it might be as much as 30+
